Spread the love this Valentine’s Day!
Saturday, February 14, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Campland 2211 Pacific Beach Drive

The San Diego Audubon Society and the UC Natural Reserve System invite you to help patrol the Northern Wildlife Preserve for invasive mangrove plants and trash. We are working to restore this rare coastal salt marsh to benefit the endangered Light-Footed Clapper Rail and Belding’s Savannah Sparrow. This is a great way to learn about and support just one of San Diego’s remaining coastal wetlands… we hope to see you there!

Mariner's Point Cleanup
Saturday, February 14, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Mariner's Point, Mission Bay

Volunteers are needed to help maintain a nesting site for endangered California Least Terns at Mariner's Point in Mission Bay. We'll be picking up trash and clearing the nesting site of invasive plants so the terns can use the site for nesting and rearing their young during the next breeding season (from mid-April to August). Wear work clothes (long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat, and sturdy shoes) and sunscreen. If you have them, bring work gloves and weeding tools or clippers. Snacks and water will be provided.
