OB Kite Festival and Children's Carnival
Ocean Beach Elementary OB Kiwanis Club Ocean Beach Recreation Center Present: The 61st Annual Ocean Beach Kiwanis Kite Festival Saturday March 7, 2009 Game tickets are $ .25 - Games and Activities are 25-50 cents What a Deal and a Beautiful Day in Ocean Beach! We need volunteers to help work with games and activities and in the Art Pavilion. We'll also be selling yummy and healthy frozen bananas. Schedule: 9 AM-12:30 PM Kite making at Ocean Beach Rec. Center - Free! 9-4 PM Craft Fair Booths, Amusement Rides on Santa Monica Blvd. 9 AM-2:00 PM Children's Games and Activities at School - All profits go to our fabulous arts program! 11 AM-1 PM Free Hot dogs and punch for participants & live band 1 PM Kite Judging on Ocean Beach Elementary School 2 PM Kite Parade marches down Santa Monica Ave. and ends at the Beach with freestyle kite flying. Prizes For Most Unique, Best Decorated, Best Theme! Kite Awards will be given in each division Toddlers & Preschoolers; Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd graders, 3rd & 4th graders, 5th & 6th graders, 7th & 8th graders, High School & Open Division A free community service for the kids of Ocean Beach and all of San Diego.
