10/7/2010, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

5:30 - 5:55 p.m.  General Meeting in the auditorium with the purpose of officially recognizing the partnership between San Diego State University's Confucius Institute and CMS--much like what we witnessed at Barnard one year ago.

5:55 - 6 p.m.  Passing Period to 1st period classes.

6 - 7:30 p.m.  Classroom visitations.  These are scheduled for a total of 15 minute intervals.  We expect teachers to address parents for approximately 12 minutes before dismissing them for a 3-minute passing period to the next class.  On Tuesday and Wednesday of this coming week, we shall send an automatic dialed message to every family informing them of this wonderful event.  In addition, every student will write down his/her schedule on an Open House brochure during REACH on Wednesday to give to his/her family so that they know which classes to visit on Thursday.

We are encouraging parents to leave their children home that evening.  In the past, far too many unsupervised children have been on campus.

During this time, the Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the library.

Information will be available for parents regarding the 8th grade East Coast Trip.
