Dana Association Meeting

 

The Board only supported our Point Loma Cluster learning community (ALL stakeholders) to have a conversation to explore what a cluster governance model might look like. Any governance model will need to be inclusive, representative, sustainable, equitable and accountable - and any model would need to improve the learning environment for all students. It could range from a cluster wide SSC to aligning programs to ehnance the K-12 experience.

 

Given the current budget, it is a timely conversation. With 8 million jobs lost in the US, another 1 billion people entering the workplace globally and a federal debt of $12 trillion (and another $70 trillion of unfunded or underfunded obligations at the federal level) we are going to need to have lots of innovative conversations at every level to to finance education and prepare our students for the 21st Century.
