The San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program has been hard hit by the financial crisis the City of San Diego is experiencing.  Their very existence depends on donations and contributions.  For this reason, the Mission Beach Woman’s Club has decided to make the Junior Lifeguard program the recipient of our annual fundraiser.  We plan to raise as much money as we can in order to purchase much needed equipment.   

 

Now, here is how you can help us.

 

1)    We will be holding our annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 3 pm to 6 pm on the deck of The Pennant in South Mission Beach.  At that time we will have a Silent Auction featuring goods and services that have been donated by local business owners.  These items go to the highest bidder.  We would love to have you attend.  Admission is free, and the fundraiser is open to the public. (Because the Pennant is a beach bar, no one under 21 will be allowed.)

 

2)    You may also make a monetary donation.  Your donation is tax deductible as the  Mission Beach Woman’s Club is a nonprofit and a 501C(3) organization.

 

Our past fundraisers have always been geared towards benefiting “our” community and we feel that the San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program definitely meets this objective.    Your donations and participation will most definitely help us reach our goal!
