Padres Little League Day Collection at Petco Park

Dear Little League Community, we'd like your participation in
a collection drive to support KIDS GEAR FOR BASEBALL.  They are a non-profit organization who collects used or outgrown baseball
equipment and donates it to children who would not otherwise have the equipment to be able to play baseball.

KIDS GEAR FOR BASEBALL donates equipment to organizations, schools, leagues and programs that support underserved or at-risk kids. In the past two years we distributed gear to more than a dozen organizations and schools located from Oceanside to Tijuana. More than 3,000 children participate in our recipients' programs.   Just a few of the organizations receiving Equipment from Kids Gear are the International Rescue Committee, Peace Corps - Haiti, Price Charities, San Diego Center for Children, San Diego Park & Recreation, South Bay Community Services, Hall of Champions RBI program, and Sports for Exceptional Athletes.

As baseball players it's a great feeling to be able to help kids who don't have the equipment needed to play baseball. They are proud to
have the support of the Padres and the youth baseball community who commend their efforts. But most of all,  they have learned how important it is to give back to our community and how satisfying it is to know they have helped thousands of kids.
 
Collection bins will be available at Petco Park gates from 11am to 2pm
