SDSU Celebration of Girls & Women in Sports

What
SDSU Celebration of Girls & Women in Sports
When
2/12/2011, 12:30 PM 2:00 PM
Where
SDSU Viejas Arena

The Celebration is the greatest one-day, all-sports clinic there is for K-8 girls. It's free for children and families, and it's followed immediately by an SDSU vs. UNLV women's basketball game, which is also free. We cannot give free tickets to high school students because of NCAA recruiting rules.

The Celebration features varsity athletes from all women's sports at SDSU, in their training uniforms, with "action stations" set up all around the outside of Viejas Arena. They have their equipment, and they'll give one-on-one instruction to the youngsters. Regardless of the ability or experience of the youngsters---from absolute novice to elite club-level athletes---it's a great event, according to parents and coaches who've attended.

In addition to the training and competitive instruction, the SDSU athletes will deliver invaluable messages on school attendance and achievement, diet, and personal responsibility. And the SDSU athletes are great role models: young, physically fit, and representing nearly every racial and ethnic group imaginable.

Would you please send this information to your K-8 network of professionals who encourage young girls development.
