In honor of Cabrillo Elementary's 105th Anniversary a mural has been painted depicting an undersea theme, with sea life and a treasure chest, evoking thoughts of buried treasure and early mariners, like Juan Cabrillo. The mural was painted by Lisa Esmael and Dianne Abbott, a parent and grandparent of two boys at Cabrillo. All labor and materials were donated by parents and community members including paints from San Diego based Frazee Paints as the Frazee family are alumnus of Cabrillo Elementary.
