Parent Tech Night - March 12 - Internet Safety for Parents


Students use the Internet as a tool to gather information and communicate.  Our parent night will provide you with resources for keeping your children safe.

Dana Middle School has partnered with ESET to offer an internet safety workshop for parents in the Point Loma cluster.  The presentation will be held on Monday, March 12 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Dana Jackson Theater. 

During this 90-minute session, parents will learn about:
  • Tips and tricks for keeping your children safe on the Internet
  • The roll of cell phones and other digital tools in cyberbullying
  • How to spot a cyber-predator
We will discuss actual cases that bring pause to teachers and parents.  We will show you how the San Diego Unified School District is working to ensure safety as they use digital tools in the classroom.  You will leave more informed and will be aware of actions you can use at home to provide a safe environment for your students.  

Due to the content of this presentation, we do not recommend children attend this event.
