FIRST Robotics Community Interest Meeting

FIRST Robotics Community Interest Meeting at Point Loma Library, April 30th at 6pm

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills are at the foundation of our technology driven economy and are a vital part of our students' education.  If you are interested in helping grow our community of award winning FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams in the Point Loma cluster, please join us for our organizational meeting in the Point Loma Public Library Community Room, Tuesday April 30 at 6:00pm.

Our agenda will be focused on plans for the next competition season (kicking off with the start of the new school year in September,) to include lining up parent coaches, robot design / programming / research project mentors, fundraising plans, and facilities to host team meetings.  We also hope to be able to schedule some pre-season robotics "boot camps" late in the Summer to give our prospective team members (and their parents) a chance to decide if FIRST robotics is something they want to commit themselves to for the Fall semester.
