PL Goes Hollywood - A Tribute to Chris Brinker
You are invited to attend a night of entertainment and food to celebrate Chris Brinker's legacy as a filmmaker from Point Loma who followed his Hollywood dreams. This fundraiser will support scholarships to Point Loma High students with aspirations in film and related arts. Ticket price includes: 1-cocktail/beverage, appetizers, music, Keynote special guests, video tribute to Chris Brinker's works & life, meet Hollywood actors & CB's celebrity... Tickets to this even must be purchased in advance. The cost is $35 for adults which includes one cocktail and appetizers all evening - and $17 for students under 21. You can order tickets online, or purchase with cash at the PLHS Finance Office. This event will feature the incredible PIZARRO BROTHERS performing dueling pianos (they are award-winning pianists) - plus two incredible PLHS vocalist - ALI BELL and EASTON ESPINOZA - as well as MIKAYLA BRINKER - the niece of Chris Brinker will also be performing. There will also be celebrity guests from Hollywood (TBA soon) - and a tribute film as well. This event will take place in a private room adjacent to the Bocce Ball Court. There will also be Silent Auction - and all the money raised will go to create a Chris Brinker Scholarship Award to a deserving student in Media Arts at Point Loma High! Should be a very special night - (Chris was in the PLHS Class of '88, he produced the legendary film series, BOONDOCK SAINTS - and his directoral debut was a film called BAD COUNTRY starring Matt Dillon, Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, which has just been released on DVD.) Event sponsored by, The Chris Brinker (CB) Film Foundation is a nonprofit charity whose mission is to provide academic scholarships to high school students with aspirations in filmmaking and related arts; CBFF supports candidates who demonstrate talent and possess a financial need. *501c3 status is pending approval with IRS. Tax-exemption status was applied for in 2013 so, subject to approval all donations are tax deductible as charitable contributions. |
