Correia Music & First Friday Music collaborate for Fundraiser

Repeated SDUSD budget cuts affect our music programs tremendously, leaving the parents and community to step up to provide the best possible education for our kids. CIMA and the FFMC have been a driving force in raising money to cover the cost of coaches, workshops, instruments, instrument repair, trips, festivals, etc. at Correia Middle School as well as providing unique performance opportunities for young aspiring musicians. 

From 2pm-7pm Saturday May 31st at Humphrey's Backstage Live on Shelter Island will be filled with the sounds of  Point Loma's and Ocean Beach's amazing musical talent, youth and adult. This fundraiser, another collaboration of the First Friday Music Club (FFMC) and Correia Instrumental Music Association (CIMA), will star the Correia guitar class, the Correia Jazz Band, FFMC students, local student bands The Sahara Grimm Quartet and Revolt-Age, as well as adult (parent) bands Lust 4 Life and The Openers.  This is your opportunity to have a great time and support music education in our community!
